Why does the seal ring leak or not seal in use? What should we do in case of these pressure relief problems?
1. Manufacturing and assembly factors: all hydraulic components and sealing parts have strict requirements on dimensional tolerance, surface treatment, surface finish and geometrical tolerance. If the manufacturing process is out of tolerance, such as: the piston radius of the oil cylinder, the depth or width of the sealing groove, the hole size of the sealing ring is out of tolerance or the part is out of round due to processing problems, the part itself has a congenital leakage point, and leakage occurs after assembly or during use.
2. Assembly factors: rough operation shall be avoided in the assembly of hydraulic components. Excessive force will cause deformation of the parts, especially by striking the cylinder block and sealing flange with copper rod. Before assembly, the parts shall be carefully inspected. During assembly, the parts shall be dipped with a little hydraulic oil and pressed in gently. During cleaning, diesel oil shall be used, especially rubber components such as sealing ring, dust ring and O-ring, If gasoline is used, it is easy to age and lose its original elasticity, thus losing the sealing function.
3. Oil pollution and damage of excavator accessories can be divided into four causes: gas pollution, particle pollution, water pollution and accessories damage, which may also cause pressure relief.
4. Design factors: the reliability of the hydraulic system, to a large extent, depends on the design of the hydraulic system seal and the selection of the seal. Due to the unreasonable selection of the seal structure in the design, the selection of the seal is not in line with the specifications, and the design does not take into account the compatibility type of the hydraulic oil and the seal material, the load situation, the limit pressure, the working speed, the change of the environment temperature, etc 。
All of these directly or indirectly cause the leakage of hydraulic system.
In addition, since dust and impurities are inevitable in the working environment, proper dust-proof seal shall be selected in the design to prevent dust and other dirt from entering the system, damaging the seal and polluting the oil, thus causing leakage.
